Did you know that 300 San Benito County school children will be receiving backpack bags from Community Food Bank each week through the school year?
Kids get the bags, which contain nutritious, ready-to-eat food for the weekend, each Friday at their schools. Supporting the backpack bag program is easy. It costs just $12 per month to ensure that a child is adequately nourished over the weekend. To be part of the solution, just point your browser here.
This week, 399 backpack bags were delivered. The banana boxes pictured below contain backpack refill bags that we deliver to our local schools. Bags are counted and removed from boxes at each school.
Community Food Bank’s mission is to provide food, nutritional education and advocacy for our neighbors in need within San Benito County.
