April 27: The first full week of construction at Community FoodBank is coming to a close, and work is already ahead of schedule. Offices on the first floor are completely framed in. A new stairway to the second floor is complete, and framing is nearly finished on a new upstairs office/work area, according to Steve Mantey, project superintendent with Avila Construction Company.
Even as work continues, regular operations continue uninterrupted. Pantry days remain Fridays and Saturdays. Beginning next week, May 5 and 6, hours will change just a bit. Groceries will go out to customers from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
