You did it again! The 2017 12 Days of Giving campaign wrapped up recently with a reception at Aroma Cellars in Hollister. Together, the four local nonprofits — with the generous support of the community — collected more than $128,000 in donations in less than two weeks.

With a matching fund pool provided by local sponsors and supporters, donations to each of the four nonprofits were leveraged with a match. The agencies benefitting were CASA of San Benito County, Chamberlain’s Children Center, Community Food Bank of San Benito County and Emmaus House.

For each organization, the campaign provides vital funding to support essential community services. Community FoodBank alone generated donations and matches totaling $57,775 during the recent campaign.

Moreover, the collaborative effort produces benefits to each organization throughout the year in shared ideas and resources.

Those contributing to the matching pool received framed certificates of appreciation during the event. Vicki Fortino of United Way of San Benito County emceed the reception.
