San Benito County data shows that our county has higher opioid prescriptions, higher prescription doses, and much sadder, higher opioid related overdoses and death rates than the State of California, Santa Cruz County, and almost double that of Monterey County.

The mission of the Opioid Task Force for San Benito County is to decrease opioid misuse and overall opioid use to create a healthier community. One step in the direction that we can all take is to dispose of unwanted, unneeded medications safely.
