Calvary Christian School in Hollister may be small, but its 48 students share a great, big heart.
Even though Community FoodBank’s Holiday Food and Fund Drive does not get going in earnest until this week, students mounted a preview event through the Thanksgiving weekend, focusing specifically on grocery items for the food bank’s School Backpack Bag program.
Their haul tipped the scales this week at 208 pounds. At more than four pounds per student, that’s a goal to strive for! If you want to help build a healthier community by participating in this year’s drive, just call Community FoodBank at 637-0340 to join in.
