The generous folks at South Valley Community Church – Hollister returned for another backpack bag build on Saturday, April 21st. And not just any backpack build, these were the last bags built for this school year. How many bags were built? A mere 2,112 bags – tying their former record! And don’t let the age of the helpers fool you, those young volunteers wouldn’t even take a break! Thank you church family!

About the Backpack Food Program

To help some children make it through the weekends, when school food programs aren’t available, we fill bags with nutritious, child-friendly food for students to take home in their backpacks. With this help, they can come back to school on Monday feeling better and more ready to learn. Contact us to find out availability of the Back Pack Program in your child’s school.

Community Food Bank’s mission is to provide food, nutritional education and advocacy for our neighbors in need within San Benito County.
