Salmon fillet recipe

Community FoodBank is sharing sides of salmon this week — perfect for a Father’s Day feast!

This recipe comes to us from our food bank partners at Lucky Supermarket

1 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 cup Soy Sauce
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
1 tbsp Maple Syrup
4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
4 cloves Minced Garlic
1 1/4 cup Green Onions, Chopped
1 tsp Sesame Oil
4 ea Chile Pepper, Chopped
8 oz Skinless Salmon Fillets, (4 ounce)

Mix and stir soy sauce, brown sugar, maple syrup, cayenne pepper powder, Thai chili pepper, lemon juice and garlic until most of brown sugar has dissolved. Stir green onions and sesame oil.
Pour marinade into a bowl or a deep plate and add salmon to it while covering top surface with solid ingredients from the marinade (green onions, Thai chili peppers and garlic). Place into refrigerator and let it marinate for 2 to 24 hours.

Prepare oven on highest heat Broil (depending on the oven, it usually ranges from 450-500 F), and then put the salmon pieces onto an oven tray on the highest rack (4-6 inches from the heating elements)
Broil about 4 minutes per side (time may vary 1-2 minutes depending on the thickness of the salmon fillets)

Community Food Bank’s mission is to provide food, nutritional education and advocacy for our neighbors in need within San Benito County.
